Beginning Band Rent-To-Own Program

BandSource offers a true Rent-To-Own Program, to get your young student musician started on a high quality band instrument. It's an affordable, simple way to ensure that your beginning band student has the best experience possible, while offering both peace of mind and financial flexibility to you as a parent.

The rental agreement begins with a three month trial period that allows the student to try their new band instrument at a fraction of the cost of the regular monthly payments. This is followed by affordable monthly rental payments that are debited from any major credit or debit card. BandSource's true Rent-to-Own program is completely free of finance charges and interest. The majority amount of your payments goes toward reducing the beginning balance of the instrument until ownership is achieved, or the commitment from the student prompts the parent to exercise an early ownership option that offers a 25% discount off the remaining available balance at any point during the rental.

If your student decides to discontinue study on their band instrument for any reason, you may return the instrument to BandSource or have our school music representative pick it up from school through your student's band director, without any further commitment.

Maintenance and replacement is also included in your monthly rental payments, which offers peace of mind to parents by covering regular maintenance, major or minor repair, and even replacement in the case of loss, theft or damage beyond repair. Extended maintenance services, which covers maintenance, major or minor repair, are available through BandSource once your complete ownership of your student's instrument.

In addition to the available early payoff option of your student level instrument, BandSource also offers a very progressive upgrade or exchange program as part of our true Rent-to-Own program. These options allow you to upgrade to an intermediate or professional level instrument for your student musician, while utilizing the full amount that you've invested towards ownership in the student rental program. If you explore this option, you'll find up to the entire first year of your rental credit may be applied to the competitive purchase price of any intermediate or professional level instrument available from BandSource's comprehensive selection. Offering full rental credit off the competitive purchase price is a very unique benefit that is not offered through most of our competitors.

How to Rent an Instrument

In Person: Please stop by BandSource, meet our courteous, knowledgeable staff, which will go over our Rent-To-Own program and guide you through filling in the rental agreement. We may be able to assist your student musician in assembling their new instrument, help them get their first sounds and offer some helpful tips to get started, along with tips on how best to care for your instrument.

Over the Phone: Please give us a call at 630.477.0426, we will go over the Rent-To-Own program and fill in your rental agreement for you. Upon payment via credit card, we'll send you a copy of your rental agreement and deliver the instrument to your student musician's school for the first day of band, or reserve your new instrument for pick-up at BandSource.

School Sign-Up Night: BandSource representatives may be present at your school's beginning band rental sign-up night, where will go over our Rent-To-Own program and guide you through filling in the rental agreement. Your student musician's instrument will then be delivered to their school for the first day of band.

Ross Scholastic Marimba Rent-To-Own Program

Many student percussionists do not continue to practice their mallet instruments beyond their beginning percussion bell kit. BandSource's Marimba Rent-To-Own Program is an affordable way for the aspiring percussionist to own a quality mallet instrument for home practice and musical growth.
