Their attention to detail and thorough repair work is always performed on a consistent basis. Whether you are a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, or your 5th grader is beginning band and you found a used instrument in need of repair, the result is always the same. The ultimate in playing condition achieving complete satisfaction, contributing to the overall success of the instrumentalist.

Repair Estimates, Turnaround Times and Appointments

We consistently strive to provide all of our customers with superior turnaround times. In most cases, you will be able to speak with the repair person performing the work on your instrument and approve the estimate for optimal playing condition when you drop off the instrument for repair. Of course, estimates may only be done in person, since we need to examine the condition of the instrument and troubleshoot the potential work to be performed.

Depending on the time of year, and work load of the repair shop, it is possible that we may be able to work on your instrument while you wait. Just be sure to call us first to find out if this service is available. If we are able to arrange a repair appointment, you won't lose a day of practice on your instrument, or be forced to use a student loaner instrument for a week or longer. As we work, feel free to check your e-mail or surf the web on our courtesy laptop, read, or relax and watch TV in our lifestyle reception area. If we need to check in your instrument and provide an estimate before moving ahead with the repair, we will contact you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. The ultimate goal of BandSource's repair shop is to get your instrument back to you as quickly possible, in the best possible condition, so you won't lose time practicing your own instrument.

Please don't forget to contact us first, if you have specific time constraints regarding the repair of your instrument. We always do our best to provide the area's quickest turnaround times and accommodate every musician's needs, but checking with us first to find out what is possible is always the best practice.
